Abbey Road Studios was named 2018 Studio of the Year at the Music Producers Guild (MPG) Awards this week. The prestigious award came after a pivotal year for Abbey Road which has seen its biggest transformation since opening 86 years ago.

AMF/Virgin EMI’s Loyle Carner, who is up for two awards at next week’s BRIT Awards, has kicked off the year in style after winning Best British Solo Artist at last night’s NME Awards. Loyle used his acceptance speech to shine alight on ADHD and Dyslexia.

It seems that Island are well on the way of making Sigrid the next big popstar. The label signed the small town Norwegian last year with no fan base or online presence, but Sigrid enters the new year as one of the most hotly tipped artists, and the winner of  BBC’s Sound Of 2018.
